FAMILY BIBLE STUDY TOOL
Terms
Family Bible Study Tool is a free Bible reading and study tool, and this copy of it is run by the administrators of this site. These terms are short because there is not much to say, and plain because dressing it up would be worse than saying it.

What this is
A Bible reading and study tool, offered free, with no advertising and nothing for sale. Accounts exist only so your own study follows you between devices.
What you can expect
Nothing contractual from the software itself. It runs on whatever hosting and database the administrators of this site provide, and it can go down, lose data, or stop entirely. It is offered as-is, with no warranty and no guarantee of availability or of your data surviving; any promise beyond that is between you and the administrators of this site.
That is not a disclaimer to wave past — it is the reason Download my study exists in the My study menu. Use it. A copy on your own machine is the only guarantee the software can honestly offer.
Using it
Read, study, quote, print, and share what you write. Please do not:
- Hammer the server with bulk downloads — the Scripture text is public domain and free to take from its source at berean.bible, which will serve you better than this site will.
- Redeploy the content as your own — see the note on rights below.
- Attempt to reach other people’s accounts or notes.
Registration may be open, invite-only or closed, as set by the administrators. The administrators of this site may remove an account that is being used to attack the site or anyone using it.
What you write is yours
Your notes, highlights and notebook entries belong to you. The app claims no rights over them and uses them for nothing but showing them back to you; ask the administrators of this site and they will be deleted. The privacy page says who can read them in the meantime.
Rights in the content
The Scripture text is the Berean Standard Bible, placed in the public domain on 30 April 2023. It belongs to no one — copy it, quote it, republish it, build on it. The publishers ask for nothing, and neither does this site.
The historical commentaries by Joseph Benson and John Wesley are in the public domain. Chapter notes, place descriptions, maps and study material written for this app belong to the project that wrote them, are not peer-reviewed, and carry no institutional backing — read them as one editor’s working notes and weigh them against the named commentators.
The source code is open under the MIT licence. The contents of the data directory are not covered by it.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change matters, it will be obvious rather than buried.
